Daring to Dream: My 2026 Goals for Georgiana Noire
Happy New Year, my darlings!
I cannot believe how quickly we have welcomed a new year; it feels as though we only just stepped into 2024. This is a fresh beginning for Georgiana Noire, and we are entering 2026 with big dreams to accomplish. I don’t typically partake in traditional New Year’s resolutions because I find them difficult to stick to.
Instead of resolutions, I am setting goals. I smile at the thought because, in the past, I haven’t always seen those through either. However, this year is a declaration. I have decided to try something new: I am writing my goals down so I can clearly see what I am working toward. Consider this post my first step in holding myself accountable, both personally and professionally. This is the year Georgiana Noire officially becomes my life’s work.
My 2026 Professional Goals
Daring to Dream Big!
For 2026, I am dreaming big and bold, but that journey must start with self-confidence. Who would have thought a former cheerleader would struggle with confidence? Yet, I know it is the key to everything I want to achieve. Building confidence has been on my mind for years, but it was never at the top of my priority list—until now.
I am letting go of self-doubt and self-sabotage. To reach my dreams, I need a “can-do” attitude. While negative self-talk used to run the show, it is taking a back seat for 2026. I am walking in boldness and trusting the process. We have all, at some point, allowed our pasts to keep us stuck, insecure, or afraid of change. I certainly have. I allowed my past to convince me I wasn’t worthy of my heart’s desires, but this is my story, and I have the power to change it.
I am not my past, and it will no longer anchor me. It is a strange thing, really—carrying the weight of the past into the present while hoping for a different future. A New Year means a new beginning and the chance to ensure we don’t simply repeat the year before. 2026 is my season to create and live my dream life. I can’t wait!
Put myself out there
As a self-proclaimed introvert, I laugh at the thought of “putting myself out there.” The idea of an introvert wanting to be seen and heard feels contradictory! It is hard to step outside the comforts of the world I’ve built for myself because it feels safe there. However, I want to become a content creator. To me, that doesn’t just mean being “seen”—it means showcasing my journey and everything I have learned.
I belong to the generation that witnessed the digital world come to life; I still remember my first AOL email address! I’ve seen where the internet has been and where it is going. By sharing these goals with you, I can officially call myself a blogger. I know I tend to overwhelm myself with overthinking, but this year, I am committing to this blog. I hope a beautiful community forms simply because I finally took a chance on myself.
Pouring Into Myself: Learn and Evolve
Since the dawn of the internet, I have always loved researching. I am fascinated by history and how we have evolved as a society—for better or worse. This year, I plan to dive deeper into historical figures, world cultures, and the art of interior design.
We live in a technology-driven world, and I want the skills to keep up. That said, I am by no means “app-dependent.” I’m quite old-school; I still prefer the lost art of letter writing and planning my life in paper diaries.
Embracing My Individuality
I am done playing the comparison game. I am unique because I am the only “copy” of myself that exists. For years, I hid the things I loved as a child to meet the expectations of those around me. No more.
Working with Intention
I am putting my all into every endeavor in 2026. I intend to see success in everything I do, while accepting that failure is often a stepping stone to that success. Instead of trying to start my journey at the finish line, I want to enjoy the walk it takes to get there. My measurement of success may look different from others, and I look forward to defining it for myself—and sharing the highs and lows with you along the way.
My 2026 Personal Goals
Romanticizing My Life
I consider this a lifetime commitment. I romanticized my life often as a child, immersing myself in storybooks and movies that brought me joy. I’ve always loved stories that portrayed a beautiful, slow relationship with time.
I want the life of my dreams, and that starts with me creating beauty and joy in my surroundings. In 2026, I am finally prioritizing my own wants and needs. I desire a life rich with tradition, a comfortable home, and the “finer things.” I dream of living in the country, surrounded by green trees and brooks, hearing the sounds of nature through open windows. I want a garden that looks like something out of Peter Rabbit (rabbits included!). Even without the country home yet, I can take “micro-steps” now to create that environment and enjoy a slice of my dream life today.
Health and Wellness
My overall health is a priority as I get older. While I’ve always found the gym intimidating, I’ve realized that I don’t need strenuous, confusing equipment to stay fit. This year, I am embracing Pilates and stretching. While my diet has been “clean” for a decade, stress has recently led to some poor choices. It’s time to get back on track.
Regarding “self-care”—I used to shudder at that word. It felt like a commercialized buzzword designed for clicks. The idea that self-care required spending money on massages or manicures every two weeks didn’t appeal to me or fit my means. It felt like a chore. Now, I realize self-care looks different for everyone. For me, it has to be sustainable and personal. I plan to use a wellness journal to keep track of my progress and make it work for my life.
Slow and Simple Living
I want a better relationship with time. I am tired of feeling hurried, worried, and constantly “busy.” After researching the benefits of slow living, I know it will take dedication to let go of the things that no longer serve me. It is never too late to stop and smell the roses. I want to find joy in the mundane—the simple pleasures of being home, trying new recipes, and getting lost in a good book.
Learning French
I want to brush up on my French. I took it in high school but didn’t see its value at the time. Now that I’m older, I see the beauty and importance of a second language. I plan to travel to French-speaking territories in the future, and I want to be ready!
Femininity and Etiquette
I am an old soul. I love the wisdom of the generations before me. As a little girl, I loved being around my grandmother and her friends because they possessed a certain stature and grace that seems rare today. I long for the days of handwritten letters, holiday cards, and address books filled with friends. Growing up in the South, that charm is part of my DNA.
Sometimes, I feel I’ve missed out on that world—the bridge games, the afternoon teas, the feminine rituals. I remember my grandmother’s dressing table topped with perfumes and dusting powders; she always smelled like roses. This year, I am embracing that vintage, feminine spirit and studying the “forgotten” art of etiquette.
Experiences and Travel
I live in a town that feels like a Hallmark movie, surrounded by other charming small towns. Last year, I let my introverted mind talk me out of enjoying the autumnal festivities and local cafes. This year, I’m getting out more. Whether it’s a trip to a bookstore or a solo lunch, I need these life experiences to fuel my creativity.
More Reading, Less Scrolling
This is a goal of true accountability. I only have Instagram because I’m told it’s necessary for blog traffic, but I don’t find much value in it. I won’t let it consume me. My real struggle is over-indulging in streaming services. This year, I am taking my reading seriously. I want to finally complete a reading challenge. Books are an adventure that allow me to travel without leaving my house, and I’m ready for my mind to escape into new worlds.
Final Thoughts
This is going to be an exciting year. My hope for Georgiana Noire is to inspire women. I originally began this journey after a breakup, seeking a creative outlet. Now, I am pouring myself into this space to help other women feel inspired about their lives, too. A breakup can be the fuel you need to create something great. I am using mine to show women how to live, create, and find joy in their single season.
Welcome to Georgiana Noire!
